Powder Rooms That Pack a Punch!

What can you do with a space that isn’t used everyday and doesn’t have a ton of square footage?

Anything your heart desires!

You will rarely use this space so you don’t get sick of design and in a small space you can finally bring in that wallpaper that you love but you’re afraid is “too much”.

Keep in mind, these are bathrooms that do not include a shower or bathtub so there is limited water usage and no steam so you don’t have to worry about your finishes being water proof/resistant.

Here are 5 of our favorite powder rooms that are filled with personality and we are here for it!

  1. Simply Elegant

The first one comes from Savarie Interiors, based out of Illinois.

This soft neutral pallet is simply stunning! The wallpaper is delicate and sophisticated while remaining bold and exciting. I love the brass accents in the sconces, plumbing and cabinet hardware.

2. A Dalmatian Dream

We all remember the Disney movie 101 Dalmatians but who knew that their print could be so chic?!

I guess Cruella…

This powder room, brought to you by Hurd and Honey is so playful and fun! The wallpaper is the star of the show and allows the other finishes to pop against this black and white backdrop. I think every space can use something fresh and the bouquet of flowers is a wonderful contrast with the walls.

No animals were harmed in the making of this post. 😉

3. Dark and Moody

This powder room was built by LBJ Construction in Houston, Texas. They used a blue patterned wallpaper that features an unapologetically adventurous pattern on all of the walls.

I appreciate the fact they went with a darker wallpaper and paired with a dark wood-tone vanity and top. People can be so afraid of making a space dark or cave-like and I think darker color actually bring in a richness to a space.

I also like how they mixed metals, there is a brass mirror and brass sconces yet the faucet is chrome.

Designers know that mixing metals actually helps the design to be more interesting and custom looking so don’t be afraid to mix it up.

4. Mural Moment

What a fun powder room, this is!

This space feels very artistic by combining the gorgeous wall mural (or wall paper) with a few art pieces and a uniquely shaped mirror.

I love the toilet wall being a solid rich navy color, it makes the space feel youthful and refined all at the same time.

5. Black, White and Orange All Over

Last but certainly not least is this modern powder bath that takes pattern to another level.

This is a great example of utilizing every square inch of your space.

-The shelving unit behind the toilet acts as a place for decorative items and additional storage for necessary items.

-Opting for a wall hung toilet, toilet paper holder and toilet bowl brush allows for minimal disruptions on the floor and the space now feels larger.

-There is a washer and dryer unit it this space as well. This looks to be designed overseas and in many places their homes have smaller foot prints and it’s important to make the most out of what you have.
